PROJECT DESCRIPTION — In the Søuld showroom in Copenhagen, Wooden Lamella are integrated into the ceiling of the primary meeting room, enhancing acoustic comfort while reinforcing the calm and material-driven character of the space.

The combination of solid wood and engineered eelgrass creates a balanced, serene interior environment. Seamlessly mounted in the ceiling, the Wooden Lamellas introduce rhythm, tactility, and warmth, while supporting focused conversations and comfortable acoustics.

Created in collaboration with JJI, the Wooden Lamella solution combines JJI’s expertise in lamella systems with Søuld’s acoustic eelgrass panels, resulting in a high-performance acoustic element suited for large-scale ceiling and wall applications.

The solution at Søulds showroom demonstrates how biogenic materials can be applied thoughtfully in both residential and commercial interiors, where acoustics, aesthetics, and material integrity are equally prioritised.
