PROJECT DESCRIPTION —During 3daysofdesign, the new Dynaudio Lounge in Møntergade, Copenhagen opened its doors with A Moving Presence — an exhibition created in collaboration with Karimoku and designed by Norm Architects.

Conceived as an immersive environment where sound, space and materiality are experienced as a unified whole, the lounge explores how carefully considered materials can shape both atmosphere and perception.

Throughout the ceiling, Søuld Acoustic Mats FR have been integrated as suspended acoustic baffles. Arranged in a rhythmic sequence, the soft eelgrass elements create visual depth while contributing to a balanced acoustic environment tailored to the listening experience.

The natural texture and warm tones of the eelgrass panels soften the architectural expression of the space, introducing a tactile quality that contrasts with the precision of the technology on display. Together, the suspended acoustic elements form a calm, cocoon-like setting that encourages visitors to slow down and engage more deeply with sound.

By bringing together Dynaudio's high-performance sound systems and Søuld's high-performance acoustic panels, the project demonstrates how technology and natural materials can work in harmony. The result is an environment where sound quality, acoustic comfort and spatial atmosphere are carefully balanced to create a deeper sensory experience.
