PROJECT DESCRIPTION — Located in Copenhagen, Kappo Ando is guided by a clear ambition: to preserve the authenticity of Japanese tradition through both cuisine and interior expression.

Above the bar, Søuld Wooden Frames are suspended as floating acoustic elements. The natural wooden frames hold eelgrass acoustic mats, introducing softness and tactility while discreetly regulating sound in an otherwise intimate and active area.

The solution supports a calm and focused atmosphere, where material honesty and acoustic comfort complement the restaurant’s restrained aesthetic. Subtle in appearance yet effective in performance, the installation allows conversation, craft, and presence to take centre stage.
