Space10 Gallery
Climate Layers

PROJECT DESCRIPTION — Climate Layers visualised how climate stressors—such as cyclones, drought, temperature change, excessive rainfall, wildfires, and floods—are affecting the planet, to help audiences better understand our shared, potential future. Of the exhibition design, curator Kevin Curran explains: “We wanted to be very conscious about our material choices to leave the smallest possible CO2 footprint”. For the didactics, plinths, and seating within the exhibition, Space10 highlighted innovative materials such as Søuld’s Acoustics made from eelgrass, alongside Lemix, Woodcrete and Amroc. These materials represent a positive, solution-oriented future for the construction of homes and cities.
