Aarhus Havn
Ceiling project

PROJECT DESCRIPTION — At Café Vesterlauget, located in the heart of Aarhus Harbour, the entire ceiling is clad with Søuld Acoustic Panels,  that aligns perfectly with the architectural vision of the surrounding buildings designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG). These buildings emphasize the use of environmentally friendly and renewable materials, integrating them seamlessly into modern urban spaces.

Søuld, made from seagrass, not only contributes to the natural aesthetic of the café but also offers exceptional acoustic properties. By installing Søuld across the ceiling, the café achieves a warm, inviting atmosphere while significantly reducing noise levels. The use of Søuld reflects the broader commitment to eco-conscious design in the area, offering a beautiful, functional, and sustainable solution that enhances both the visual and auditory experience for the café's patrons.
