PROJECT DESCRIPTION — In the Chinese-inspired restaurant Goldfinch, Søuld Acoustic Panels are integrated into the bar area to introduce a distinct sense of materiality and tactility.

The soft, organic surface of eelgrass is gently bent around a corner, forming a continuous curve that enhances the material’s natural expression. This subtle gesture highlights the panels’ tactile qualities while adding a quiet architectural rhythm to the space.

At the same time, the acoustic panels function as a high-performance sound absorber, transforming one of the restaurant’s most active areas into a calmer setting. The result is a bar environment where acoustics and atmosphere are carefully balanced — supporting conversation, presence, and a sense of tranquillity within a vibrant dining experience.
