PROJECT DESCRIPTION — Located in the Sydhavnen district of Copenhagen, Restaurant Pauli is deeply rooted in its surroundings — an area shaped by the raw character of the industrial harbour and a strong sense of local life.

From the outset, the restaurant set out to create an atmosphere that supports both food and conversation. To achieve this balance, Søuld Acoustic Mats FR are integrated into the ceiling of the dining area, subtly improving acoustic comfort without altering the space’s honest expression.

The eelgrass mats soften sound and atmosphere alike, creating a calm and comfortable ambience within a lively setting. The result is a dining environment where acoustics, materiality, and experience work quietly together — allowing guests to focus on taste, presence, and shared moments.
